Default auto trans doesnt shift right

i have a 99 accord ex with an auto. i can make it shift from 1 to 2 but when i hit D3 it wont shift into 3 unless i let off the gas for like 2 sec, it does the same thing when i shift into D4 is there something i can add to make it shift at red line. or maybe even give me a price on a manual.

the reason why there's a lag when u shift to third is because d3 = gears 1,2,and 3...1 means it is only on 1st gear...2 means it's only on 2nd gear...but once you move your shifter into d3, it will stay on second because the computer hasn't reached it's shift point yet...same with d4 which obviously uses all four gears

if you want it to shift at redline, leave it on d4 and floor it...it'll redline all four gears...btw if ur "power shifting" for drag racing...don't...just leave it in d4 because the manufacturers set it to shift at the optimal shift points and u'll get more constant times also

CHange your tranny fluid once then drive around on it for about twenty minutes then change it again and do the same as before and then do it one last time and your tranny should shift like new.
