Weighed on HOWE Patented recording beam at the local farm co-op. I choose to weight the car with a full tank of gas instead of guessing how much was in the tank by the needle sine we know how much gas weighs (6.1lb/gallon).

2001 ITR, full interior, no spare tire, full tank of gas- 2,560lbs
Weight with driver- 2,730lbs
Dry weight- 2,480lbs

 

That sounds about right for a stocker.

Mine is 2,440 with a full tank.

i must be missing something in my car b/c 234 came out to 2527lbs (full interior, spare, AP roll bar, 1/2 tank gas) according to the scales used for corner weighing :shrugs:

yshi - who'll be replacing the steel C-pillar bar for an aluminum one (details on EM Racing bar to follow soon ) that he got last night

 

That 1/2 tank of gas you're missing = about 40 lbs. Is your roll bar a single hoop with no diagonal or rear braces?

My bar is an SCCA legal set up. It's about 50 lbs

it's an AP rollbar (scca legal) w/ diag and rear bar; 50lbs sounds about right.

 

Sounds right to me too. Mine was 2560 with 3/4 of a tank, the spare and various loose change and CD's.

I'm sure it's around 2500 with a full tank now.

 

Before my AutoPower 4 pt and new (lighter seats) mine was 2700 with me in it and a even 2500 with me out of it. Does not impress me at all b/c everything but the front carpet and center console it out. Damn weight of those BC'S!!

i weighed my car at the dump with a 1/2 tank of gas,rear gutted, sound deadening out, and me in the car, it weighed 2468lbs.
Mmmm, that means with out me in the car it would weigh 2343.

and since then i have taken out my a/c, and more sound deadening, and all heatshields.
wonder what it weighs now????

How accurate are the scales?

 

now take out the interior, AC, and PS systems and go weigh it again I havent had a chance to weigh mine yet, but Im hoping to be under 2500lbs...

 

My car weighs just a hair over 2500 lbs with 6 pt cage, 1/2 tank of gas and full interior. 2700 lbs with me in it.

 

not sure, thats why i will weigh it again at the dump, and another site just to compare the 2
helps to be about 125-130lbs

curious how you got the weight down so much before removing all those parts and you in it?

My hatch is gutted out, getting a lightweight battery and removing my A/C. I'm only 122 lbs though, ActiveAero, you're fat! (~170)

I plan to go to a local GARBAGE DUMP, they have scales there, and I could probably drop off some garbage too
