Steering wheel vibration at 70mph+
I just put on a Skunk2 camber kit and noticed when i go faster than 70mph that my steering wheel shakes. The car goes straight, but the wheel just shakes. When I drive at lower speeds everything is fine. Is it my alignment?? Any ideas? thanks
oh brother.

Before you spend the big $$$ on alignment....
1. Check the wheel balance.
2. Condition of your tires. Damage steel belts inside the tires are almost impossible to tell.

custom wheel can't fit all the cars, so they make the center hole big and then fit a plastic ring so the hub will align center with the axle with each specific car.
the lug nuts will not hold the wheel in it's true center. the rings will help balance it.

my brand new perfectly balanced wheels would vibrate at about 75-80mph.
added hubcentric rings recently after many thousand miles and the vibration went away.

70+? Its your wheel balance. Alignment is only neede if the vehicle pulls.
Also, if your tires have a shotty wear pattern on them, it would be pretty hard to get rid of that, Rotate your tires as well.

could your struts be blown? i have that same problem. because while driving on the freeway with my friend he notice my front wheel was moving back and forth sideways meaning my shocks were probably blown after lowering my car. take off your wheel and check the struts for any leaks.
my struts are fine. i haven't had time yet, but i am going to check the balance this week. after that if it doesn't go away, i'm going to see what's up with those centering rings.
