Converting T3/T4 .63 to .48?
Just wondering if anyone has converted their T3/t4 with a .63 ex to a .48? Is this possible or does it have to be sent away. Would i need a new shaft wth a ex wheel for .48? Or is just the housing different? Sorry if this is a stupid question...
You can just change the turbine housing as long as the new housing will accomodate your current turbine wheel. Ie, if you have a Stage 3 turbine wheel, you can't use a .48 a/r housing that was made for a Stage 1 wheel. It will not fit.

EDIT: Sonny beat me to it
It depends on what stage turbine wheel you have. I'm using a stock ford t3 cartrige with a t04b cold side. I just changed from a .48 to the .63 a/r housings with no problems. If your turbo uses something like a stage 5 turbine wheel then you need a housing designed for the stage 5 wheel. But they are interchangeable if they match.
