Where is idle screw on throttle body????
I need to bring the idle down big time, where is the screw lacated at on the throttle body.......What could be making my car idle so damn crazy and fast, like 3,000 rpm? Does anyone know if the two outer wires have to be switched on the TPS sensor???? I switched them , maybe this caused my problem. I did take my dizzy off, because of that I have to reset timing, but I dont think the dizzy would make it idle that high, has to be something else.......
Look at your tb from the front of the car and it is under/behind the little peice you clip you throttle cable into....You will need an alen key if it is a b16 not sure on other motor actually I forgot and am to lazy to go look so yeah it is on the underside of your tb
That is not the place to adjust the idle speed it is the fully closed throttle position stop. The idle speed screw is just above and to the rear of the main throttle body opening looking from the passenger side. It is recessed and covered with wax if it has never been adjusted. Scrap off the wax revealing the idle screw beneath. Turn it in (clockwise) to reduce speed and out (counter clockwise)to increase it. But it sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Spray carb cleaner aound the vacuum hoses with the engine running. when you spray on the leak the idle will change. Thats where its leaking.
Im having the same problem with the ZC... I didnt touch anything, go to take the car out and all of a sudden the thing like idles at 3k or like 1k rpm but then fluctuates lower.... vacuum? any other ideas?
