now what?
I am installing a twin cam ZC engine in a 1990 SI Civic and have the car running now, but with problems. The supplier sent a three sensor distributor (possibly related to the 1999 Civic) with the engine instead of the usual two sensor distributor and the cylinder position sensor on the exhaust cam. Now I get a dtc #4 (ckp signal, crank sensor) and the engine quits at 3200 rpm. I have tested and found distinctive signals (with Vantage) for ckp, tdc and cmp signal at their proper location at the SI computer and am convinced I have the correct signal and the proper location indicating I hooked the distributor up correctly. What have I done wrong? Is this distributor not compatible?
