Two good threads

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=481591
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=481532

Also, search '3 angle valve job' in the archived posts. There are a few more there.

because its been answered. per search . its a pretty general question. no need to get butthurt. when i said do a 3 angle search, i meant put "3 and angle" in the search query. or put "angle and valve and job", might get you more responses. and if that doesnt work there is always google. i came up with this in one try http://www.mikesspeedshop.com/faq.htm although any info on the net should be taken with discretion.

Chris N, thanks for those links. they were great.

and JaeOne, don't worry about me man, I didn't get butt hurt at all. This isn't the first board I've posted on and I used to tell n00bs to search all the time

I was just spacing this morning I suppose, so no worries.

Please do not reply if you just want to whine.

The search function is a great tool. Learning how to use it to your advantage opens up a lot of good information.

I agree with Reid. If everyone knew how to use the search function, this board would be a lot less cluttered with topics that we see five times a day. Think about how many "Which exhaust is best?" threads we would see if everyone replied to people who didn't search. Sometimes people crack down hard, but it is all for the better of the board.

Instead of wasting energy typing your question, why don't you use that same energy to search? It's the same thing.

God forbid people should be self relient nowadays.

Would you like the answer served on a silver platter too?

It's cutting 3 or 5 angles into the adge f the valve and into the valve seat, so you can have the best seal possible while also having the best flow around the valve...

the more angles, the better the flow- but also harder to do

Thanks for the post Emerika...that was very helpful - as I was in the dark about that term as well. Now only if you posted sooner we wouldn't have all these posts about using the search function.

ahhh but if you and others searched, we wouldn't have yet another repetitive thread.

This question isn't QUITE as common as "what exhaust to get" or "what intake" or "what bling bling wheels" or "do 17s slow down my car", etc. but it's still common enough to use the search for google to find the answer to.

Very very few things have not been discussed here before. Hell we ever had a body-in-white discussion before.

Nice avatar Tricky...

Sometimes searching is best because some of the best info is already there...no waiting for people to post info...it's all there.

mostly because people don't know and they want to feel like a "veteran" or whatever.

Just answer the question and move on...not too hard.

True, it is easier to search, then you can look at pictures, read write ups, see what machines are used, etc....but since all you needed is a simple explaination....only takes 2 sentences and 30 seconds.

This happens all the time in the ITR forum.....

Oh, and neither of those threads were in the ITR forum...so obviously you guys have not been discussing it to any degree of importance, or it would have shown in a search

help each other out

Edit- Now I see what the ITR forum is here for...it's not for help https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=504159

Yes Emerika, this forum is more of a close knit community and unusual but humorous threads like the Gina one are active. You realize how boring this forum would be otherwise?

look at a lot of the threads where do a search is used, then YOU go and answer EVERY ONE of those that come up. Don't miss a single one though, you just go answer EVERY SINGLE exhaust, maintainance light, CEL, intake, etc question.

Sorry for those that are too lazy to find the answer to a simple question through the search, but I'm not going to waste my time with something that's already been explained on this forum/site before. If you want to waste your time, feel free.
