Good morning.
After posting recently about not getting to drive the S, I finally got the chance to drive today. (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=504303).
Well, picked up my other FOB (never used it in 2 years.. came with 2, but decided to use the other one today).... went to garage, and unlocked the doors.
Opened door, and security went off... hit the lock button about 10 times, and then it finally stopped. Noticed that I had improperly closed the trunk and it was still slightly open. I closed it, hit the unlock button, and it went off again.
Thought maybe starting the car would stop it...so started the car... It fired up, but the security kept going off.
What's going on? Any ideas? It's a nice day, and for once I try to drive..and it isn't cooperating.. Stupid S...*sigh*.

 

ugh.. dealership is useless..they suggested i use the key manually. that didn't help at all. *sigh*

 

Weird. would disconnecting the battery shut it up?

 

same thing happend to me when I tried to get into a s2k at a dealership... "beeeeeep beeeeeep beeeeeeep....." ugh!

I'd like to know just as much as you :-)

 

is it still going off right now? try disconnecting the battery like what s2000 said.

back from lunch..
here's what happened.
i had the oem security installed when i purchased the car.
they gave me 2 FOB's.
I went home during lunch to test it out again.. quick glance and i realized problem #1. FOB's look different.
I used the old one, and it worked fine...used the other one, and it unlocked the door, but didn't disarm the security.
looks like the morons didn't give me 2 FOB's that unlock the doors AND disable security.

 

That sucks. At least you figured it out!

once you have acc. alarm installed you must not use your keyless entry fobs and only just alarm fobs!!!
