Default Installing an AMP under the passenger seat....Possible?

I think it will mount ok, but my main concern is air ventilation.
Anyone done this b4? I am driving an Integra.

My car has gutted rear, no rear seats and a roll bar will go in soon. So I can't think of any places to mount that amp that can't be seen from the outside.

I have a JL 300/4 under my seat. It has never been more than warm to the touch. Even when I drove my subwoofer with it.

I have an Alpine F405 and a 1005 under each seat and theres about 2cm of space between seat and amp.
They get so hot they melt the floor mats but those amps do that wherever you put them.

i have always been kinda iffy about putting amps and such underneath seats. I always get scared that I am going to drop somthing wet and phuk up the amp. Like spill a drink or somthing

I think you will be ok as long as you use a decent guage power like 8 or lower. If you run a skinny power wire it tends to cause your amp to run hotter and you don't need that under your seat. BTW I have one under my seat in my Integra never over heats but it is only for my mids and uppers.

The Amp will most likely fit under the seat. And it's powering the 4 speakers, no sub. I guess that should be ok right?

I hate it when I take a corner and spill my beer on the amp

For mids and highs you will be fine under the seat. Some amps get much hotter than others though. The JL stays very cool normally. So it will be good for that.

I have an Alpine MRV-F340 and i tried mounting it underneath the passenger seat but it wouldn't fit. I tried putting it under the driver's seat and it fit fine with a couple fingers of space above even with the seat at the lowest setting. After a few over 1 hour drives withe the music at a decent volume it was only warm to the touch but still no where near over heating.

if your passenger asks if you have heated seats, you may had a cooling problem witho your amp

i've done it before, a kenwood 1600/5, it's very possible, dont screw the amp down, use ampcro aka velcro, works great, keeps it from sliding around
