I still like mine. Just pick up the items that are not in the kit and you'll be fine. Like I said, even if I dyno with the V2, I've changed a bunch of things besides the intake so the plots shouldn't be compared to my old plots with the original AEM. BUT, I believe AEM that the new one is more powerful. Tranny bracket looks fine, I checked it the other day. Nothing appears to be rubbing yet. Amazing that even though the piping is 4" that it fits in there fine.
Go for it.

Also, if you had any plans to keep a front strut bar, you can kiss that idea good-bye. the thing is HUGE...makes the regular AEM CAI look like a toy.

Not sure, that was the only one that I thought might fit. But there isn't any room if it has to go across from one strut to the other. The AEM takes up all the space.

i had the 99-00 Civic Si AEM v2 CAI intake installed on my b18c1 in my EX coupe and it was very nice.. i liked it alot.. the bracket was nice and sturdy in my opinion.. i will not be paying 250 for another v2 cause it was destroyed in my car accident, i got the normal aem cai cheap from a friend..

Um as far as a strut bar, as long as the dont have a DX motor you can use any strut bar you want. I will be installing one on my car tomorrow in place of a AEM itr intake. Its on a B18b. Ill post full impressions.

Here's a dyno of a 98 Civic EX with the blue line showing the normal AEM CAI and the red line showing the change to the AEM V2 CAI. The engine setup is just a 4-1 Holley header, cat-back exhaust, and the CAI.
