Make sure you get a SVR or Optima battery, and isolator, make sure to run the batteries in PARALLEL or you will cause SERIOUS damage. Get a terminal that has a few outlets and either run accessories off of that or the under the hood battery, make sure you fuse EVERYTHING, including the 2nd battery.

The Excursion runs two batteries stock, one for starting and head lights. The other for everything else. I would run certain things to each one. FUSES are your friends. Make sure the alternator can charge both at the same time, and make sure that they are both grounded seperately.

Any deep cycle battery should do.

The two batteries on the excursion are both in the hood, along with a V12 aand turbo. This hood is bigger then a small closet, no joke. They are located in the back corners right infront of the passenger and driver. one the positive goes straight to the alt. and the other send a wire straight back to the interior.
Can you believe that they redline at 3000 RPM???? how crazy is that.
