Default Brake Bleeding Problems, Please Help

Okay, here is the story:

I used SpeedBleeders (www.speedbleeder.com) to bleed my brakes. I used the following pattern as specified by the Helms manual:

Front left, front right, back right, back left.

Now, the brakes still feel mushy a little bit. How far should I have to push the pedal to start getting braking power?

When I bled the brakes, I was pushing the pedal all the way down, but someone said this will scar the walls of the master cylinder. Is that true? If so, what should I do now?

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Someone suggested leaving the car on while bleed and that might help.

Thanks!

You shouldn't push the pedal all the way down, not because it's bad for the walls of the MC, but because the seals will go over areas of the MC that it doesn't normally go over. These areas can be bumpy or rusted, and tend to damage the seal of the MC.

edit: Oh yeah, forgot to answer your original question. To fix it, keep bleeding. I've always learned to bleed the brakes by going from the farthest to the closest, so that's RR, LR, RF, LF. Works for me, ymmv. It really doesn't matter that much.

Also, this is what I use:
