Amazing what rubbing compound and some elbow grease can do for your headlights

So my aunt's headlight bulb blew out on her '96 Civic, so she came over and had me change it along with her wiper blades... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

after:
Used 3M rubbing compound, followed with some Blue Magic plastic cleaner, followed with some Blue Magic metal polish. I tried the same on my uncle's '94 Accord without success, so I'm going to try wet sanding them later.

Thanks... yea, I couldn't find any clean bonnets for my orbital buffer... otherwise, it would've been a breeze

How much to do mine? My driver side lights is dirty. 
Passanger side is clean as hell... lol bought the car like that...

now go buy some meguirs plastix and apply that a couple of times. you will be truely impressed by the final final final product. the plastix really made a difference, ill show proof after the photoshoot we are doing tommarow afternoon.
I cleaned up my headlights with Meguiar's plastic polish. Looked the same. Silver Civic too.

All it takes is some brake fluid on a rough rag and elbow grease
Then maybe follow it up with scratch remover also, buff till your heart desires or when ur arm falls off, voila!

EDIT: wonder if your aunt will notice the difference at night? I know I did.

Brake cleaner seems to work well but hazes to fast and I cannot remove..... could it be due to direct sun in LA? Should i wait till dark?
