Default Change valve cover/spark plug gaskets

Just wondering if you guys actually listen to the service manual and change your valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets every time you pop off the valve cover.... I don't do it and I haven't had any leaking issues...

Make sure the gasket is still soft and not brittle. The biggest thing to worry about when reusing the gasket is to clean off the gasket completely and use some Hondabond.

Yea, plenty have gone without any leaking issues... but its only like 20 or so at the dealer for the gaskets so every 30 or so when u do a valve adjustment is not a bad idea. me n my high mileage teg are all for preventative maintenance and having a leak free headgaskets makes it easier for me to spot any other potential engine bay leaks.

Correct.

Head Gasket - goes b/w head and block.

Valve Cover Gasket - goes b/w valve cover and head.
