Why do (roughly) 80% of you guys strip your interiors like no tomorrow?

How much weight do you actually lose by gutting your car and do you really think its worth not having the comfort of nice carpet, all seats, hardly any road noise etc. ?

like how much do you really gain by doing this? .4 if that off your 1/4 times?

Also, How many of you use your gutted civics as your everyday driver?

 

im a daily driver and my civic is still fully loaded..well for the dx model that is. people i think gut their cars to shed about 100 pounds or more! i dont know how much time that shaves off but i imagine it gives you a little more pull on the motor.

you dont have to gut it. but you can go faster if you do.

 

if I wanted a luxury car, I wouldn't have bought a civic.

 

makes the civic look faster.

haha. oh so true.

There has been so many occasions where I would race someone and whip there ***. The afterwords, they look in the car and see one piece of plastic removed from the rear and there like " oh that thing is gutted ". LOL WHen that plastic weighs about 4ounces.

Who cares if we gut our hatches or car... its our car and we do what we like. I like it, i like the look, i like how i dont have to give people rides becasue i dont have a back seat, ya i just like it....

I had to put tyres in the back, now I'm just lazy...

theres weight to be lost in the interior - tar, firewall mat, a/c unit, heater core, etc...depends how hardcore you are...
