Default EK (9) Civic Reverse Lights Malfunction.

Hi !

My friend have just bought a magnificient 1999 EK9.

Unfortunately a couple of days ago we noticed that both of the reverse lights are not working (not lighting up).

We checked the bulbs but they seem ok...and it is strange that both of them burn out all of a sudden.

Do you have any ideas guys?

regards,
Eric

its an actual sensor that screws into the tranny...looks kinda like a cigerette lighter with a rubber boot on it!

the reverse light switch is (looking from the front of the car) right of the tranny mount and just in front of the starter motor. there are two wires coming out and the colors are 'yellow and green/black.'
