Default New 03 Si owner..

Greetings, forum. I've been hanging around the Teg forum for a while now.

After about 5 years of hard work, I have succesfully converted my girlfriend to a Honda-lover. We're gonna pick up her new 03 Si this Thursday, and saying bye-bye to her Cavalier.

Had to wait to pick it up just before the weekend, so I can give her a crash-course on driving a manual tranny before she has to drive it to work next Monday.

Anyways, I wanted to say hello, and I hope you guys can help me out later with our future modding activities.

One question I had right away was: Does EP3 designate the latest generation Si only?

Thanks

Good to see yet another enthusiast of a fine, fine automobile. From a Cav to a new Si's a pretty good upgrade! I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoy mine.

Congrats, your girlfriend will enjoy the car.

But yea EP3 is the new Si only. 99-00 Si was the EM1.

It took relentless years of brainwashing. Non-stop talk about cars all the time. I even explained things like the difference between torque and HP, how a high revving 4 can compete with larger engines, and modding for more air + more fuel = more power. The first few years didn't seem to do anything, but I didn't give up, and now it's finally paying off. The main thing was she saw how much fun I was having in my car, and wanted to experience it herself. Plus, she was tired of jamming the gas in her Cav to make the 3spd auto shift. She used to wring that thing out almost to the point of explosion. The main thing that sold her with the Si was the interior, she knows good seats when she sees them.

We did finally pick it up. What a great car! It may not be quite as potent as my GSR, but I think it is ideal for my fiance. It seems much more responsive and smooth at the lower end, and the clutch engagement is amazing. I think she's going to love the power and the handling. This is her first manual tranny, but I think this car is an easy one to learn on. This weekend is crunch time for the stick lessons.

Perhaps you'd care to rephrase that?

Again, congratulations to you both!

Doesn't "EP3" specifically designate the chassis, which is new?? That would include the Canadian SiR as well, correct?
