Default b16 sputtering problem

well in my crx i did the b16 swap and when driving it, it has a sputtering problem..no check engine light, everything works perfectly..i put a new cap+rotar on it, along with plugs and wires..when i hit about 3 k rpm's, she has a slight sputter, then comes out of it..vtec has fine engagment, but i just cant figure out what this sputtering problem is..if i have it in 1st gear, and slowly take it to around 6500rpm, it sputters real bad, but mostly just when it hits 3k..its consitantly doing it right around that powerband..

Switch your O2 sensors. I had the same exact problem and my sensors were backwards. I changed them and it runs perfectly now.

If you go WOT does it pull strongly or does it bog? If it's a problem with the O2 sensors being crossed putting it into WOT will bypass O2 sensor output, so the sputter will disappear. If it's a problem with fuel or spark going WOT will probably cause it to bog.
