Default Whcih swap would be best for me?

I have 96 Accord LX. Its my daily driver. No plans to race it or anything like it. The stock engine is tired. Very tired. I wasn't to keep the car because its paid off and its only taking me to and from work.

Could you guys tell me the Pro's and Con's of either of these swaps? Which one is easier, cheaper, less hassle....
H22 or V6.

I want to keep the AC and I want to leave it Auto.

I will be doing the swap with a friend also.

Thanks

H22 would be easier. Especially since most of the people on this board have done them. Oh, and you would be able to leave everything in, A/C, and all. But do a little research, because you'll need to get a few things to go along with the engine. Like the ECU, power steering pump, and a few other things I can't think of right off hand.

honestly if your not looking for speed, then get a 98-02 F23. it's got 150hp which should be much better than your 130 you have now and will cost much less. you could also reuse your auto tranny, but i would try to find a whole F23 swap.

H22. Even if there doesn't seem to be any difference with the body between an I4 and a V6, there is. On the V6, engine bay is slightly longer. So no easy swap there.

what about v6 vs. i4 motor mount positions? is this a problem? if not, Go Honda for keeping them the same. I've never heard of the engine bay being longer though. The body outside is identical.

It is not. I don't remember the details, but I know it's been covered here a few months ago. Maybe if you run a search, you could find the answer for that.

the lay out is different, very different that you cant use most of the stuff you have in your i4, i have a 4 and my friend have a 6 so i work on both all the time.
too much unknown area to conquer with the v6 swap.

This actually sounds good to me. Any idea how much a "complete swap" would be for this? No internet sites seem to carry thi swap........ I don't know why

local junkyard or http://www.importautosalvage.com , since you live in cali i don't think a F23 motor would be that hard to find locally.

h22 all the way baby. i love my swap. it was easy as hell to do. except i had problems with the wiring harness, so then i had to bring it to a shop, but they got it all squared away. why dont you do a 5sp tranny while doing the swap. autos suck. and yes you can keep your ac

I want to stay automatic because its just a daily driver. Im not even planning on lowering it.

I also have an S2000 and get so frustrated when putting my foot down in the Accord and the car goes nowhere slowly! I would just like a little more ...."oommph"

Look on ebay, i saw an f23 on there for $500. That engine is not in great demand and neither are its component parts. They should be relatively cheap and easy to come by. If you are having difficulties finding parts for the swap, email me and I can give you the address for a really good site, where you can certainly find the parts you need.
