Default ahhhhh, finally.......

well after a while of cruisin around with the h23 with 234k miles. it finally has came to the point where, i need a new motor/tranny and a few other things. the tranny/clutch/pp/tb finally decided to start ******* up on me. so i decided to order my new motor/tranny/ecu etc. i get to finally have the power of vtec. i get to see if what you h22's say is really true about the h22.

due to time/tool/space requirements i'm not going to do the swap myself. but a good friend/shop owner will be doing my swap for really cheap. tomorrow i get to drop of my baby. and thursday night/friday afternoon i should be able to pick her up. i'm so excited guys, i've had this car since about late january. and the whole plan since then was to drive it till i can't drive it anymore and swap out.

i just can't wait. also. i would like to know, what are some mods i can do to get me into the 13's all motor without cracking open the motor. i know i/h/e vafc, and cam gears is a start. what else should i go for? msd? slicks? i just wanna be able to hit 13.90's in my car before i do some head work.

sounds like you have the right idea for everything.

VAFC, Cam gears, fuel, timing, msd, CAI, header, exhaust, cams if you can and DYNO TIME... I bet with the right motor, and the right driver you can do it.

well as far as the definite parts go. i allready have my intake and exhaust. i'm still deciding on the header. dc is cheap, it did well on my old lude, but i'm starting to think the greddy one would be nice. i don't have the budget for smsp or mugen . as far as msd, i'd go either sci-L . or 6al. both with 2 step. complete aem fuel system.

i'm trying to keep myself from spending too much too soon. and trying to make this an ongoing project. the next mod after that i'll prolly swap out intake manifolds.

after i get the bolt on's done. i'm not sure from there on out. i'd like to somehow fab up the 5th gen jrsc. but that seems like too much money and work. i'm undecisive at the moment as far as cams go. if i stay all motor. should i go skunk2 stage 2's, or go type s. in all reality i'd like to go complete jun head but thats a little bit of money that i don't have to spend. then after the head and block are done. i'll prolly focus on the crank and balancing my engine. then doing a mild p&p. then slap some mickeys on her and as the track *****'s say "get er' done".

from everything that I hear about the DC header for the H22, I have eliminated it from my list of possible choices. Do some searches maybe, I remember reading a thread recently that talked of how it did not bring any gains over the stock header. I've heard much better things about the Greddy header, I'd go that route man. Peace

I'd like to let u know my opinion on ignition upgrades....there a huge waste in my opinion... I run my car on stock ignition and it runs great... No need for a msd until u start w N20 or big *** turbo...my mechanic was running his turbo setup on his stock ignition w no problems 400hp+ he decided to go individual coils so he changed it but it was running fine..honda ignitions are great! my .02 most people don't listen to me and think I'm a moron so whatever.....

I will actually back him on the stock ignition, lots of turbo people are making HUGE numbers on basicly all stock ignition systems. Other than differnt plugs its pretty much all stock. of course we are talking all motor here not boost so its kind of an apples to oranges thing.

keep in mind this isn't all at once. and also, i forgot to add the hondata s200 in there . as far as ignition goes. i've heard good, i've heard bad.my car has 234k miles, the motor has 35k.it's all in little steps. i figure get these chunks out of the way. then they will start to pay off as soon as i break open the motor.

also, one question. who's the closest to the 250hp mark? all motor?

i think 2poin6 was pretty close. who else got close?
