Check Engine Light
What's the most common reason for a fourth gen engine light to come on? Mine has been coming on every now and then but only after warm up.
The manual says the check engine light only refers to the emissions system, so I am really hoping that this doesn't mean my cat is dying on me.
You guys have always been right on the money, so any advice would be much appreciated.

cel or check engine light monitor everything in your car, it have sensors to test if the car is working or not.
is your car in limp mode or not?
the purpose of cel is to let the user(mechanic) to pull the code and see what's wrong with the car.
go search "cel" you'll learn how to work with them

On 4th gen accords, you could pull the code yourself too. It's located under the passenger side carpet. Just pull it back enough till u see the little greyish silver box. There should be a blinking light in the middle if your CEL is on. Remember, drive your car until your CEL comes on, THEN check it. Just count the number of blinks and refer back to the service manual. Good luck!
