Well my friend just put on an N1 Catback on his GSR, and it's really quiet for some reason. Did Apexi make it quieter like Tanabe did with the RM, or will it just get louder after about a week?

 

is the silencer in?
i've heard of that happening before where some people's muffler sound louder after they drive with it. didn't notice on my N1 cuz i use to blast the radio (not anymore, hurt my head)

 

i noticed mine get louder after about a week or so,,,, which is very odd cuz i bought it used...

 

mine isn't loud either i guess it depends on if u got a testpipe, u know more flow more noise

 

It is loud. Must have been cold.

 

Well mine is just an imitation pretty much but I'm sure the design is close if not exact. It is fairly loud (rattles my cabin with the windows closed) and with the windows open I can hear it roaring. It was booming the day I got it but in fear of cops I left the silencer in for a few days. Might have changed in volume after a little use. Still though, it was pretty loud from the get-go.

Oh and btw I don't have a whole catback system, just the muffler. Can only learn from mistakes.

when the motor is cold, its quiet........but when its warmed up.......not too loud when your just cruising around. As soon as you step on it, mine gets crazy loud! People can hear me from blocks away and know i'm coming! I'm also running a test pipe. Going up hills its loud, when you have more than 2 people in the car, it gets loud.......Feels a lot better than the greddy sp i used to have! But just wish it were a little bit quieter.....might have to throw back on my cat

 

It's just weird cause I've always heard about how it's one of the loudest exhausts, and it's quieter than my Tanabe SUper Racing Medallion. Mine changed sound levels after a week, so I'm thinking his will too...

 

Between like 2-4krpm my is fairly loud. Going up hills it is about 3-3.5k which is like its peak. At 4k it gets that more aggressive sound like you are starting to floor it then anything after that its "VROOOOOOMMM!" like I'm hauling ***. Oh wait, at 6krpm I AM hauling ***.
