Default Does 240 ft lbs at the wheels sound excessive for NA and all stock internals.

Im looking at a dyno chart here of a B18c7 type R engine Aussie spec
and its claiming peak power of 119kw at the wheels and 330nm of torque o r
161hp at 8381 Rpm
243 ft/lbs at 6314 rpm
That equates to 243 ft lbs at the wheels.

This car consistently pulls 13.5 seconds 1/4s with 0-60mph times of 5.5s and 5.6s

It has IHE, the usual plus some crazy asian man at the dyno doing the vafc tuning. It is running sweet 4-2-1s with tapered 2.5 inch collector and this amazing DIY fan driven cold air induction system that is like 7 inches in diameter but is this a normal Torque figure for an 01 Type R
Can 3 degrees more advance on an intake cam do that much?

CAn someone tell me If they have smilar numbers in a B18c7 R engine

Thankyou

Obviously he has mixed up his tq and hp.

Here is an importbuilders graph of a c5:

160 torque is possible, it seems.

2 liter b18c maybe.

no,that kindof power is not possible. If someone has done it, i will go back to
my basket weaving degree.

You mean like my 77 Civic has 50hp and nearly 300 lb by that logic. I have a feeling that you're using a Dyno Dynamics dyno.

The torque sounds just about double what it should be. This happens on a DynoJet when the dyno operator mis-configures the cylinder firing setting. It's probably really 161hp and 121.5 lb.ft. (243/2 = 121.5lb.ft)

That sounds like the DynoDynamics dyno is reading the Effective Torque, and not calculating for the gearing that is present, essentially giving you what is really at the wheels. The DynoJet computes it all out for us and gives us readings based off of gearing and Effective Torque, but when I used the DynoDynamics on the print out of the figures it gives you Effective Torque.

That's what I figured from the runs done on the Civic and Integra. 300 / 4.933 (stock final drive) is roughly 60lb-ft / 80Nm, which sounds about right for this car. I've also noticed DynoDynamics tend to read somewhat low.

Stock B18C 125kW flywheel, 90kW wheels.
Stock EB2 48kW flywheel, 38kW wheels.

I don't think there are any DynoJet dynos local to us here in Melbourne, AU.

you prolly just switched your readings around ... those numbers and RPMs are similar to my 2 liter Del Sol's if you switch them:

That sounds a little to much for NA and stock internals
