what an informative reply

I believe you can use the K&N recharging kit http://www.performance-air-fil....html like so. Well thats what my friend uses on his AEM filter. I think the apexi is the same material as AEM

Default You guys are a bunch of morons.

And I quote

"...The Power Intake is a maintenance-free dry-type air filter and will alleviate the problem of filter oil from "wet" air cleaners interfering with the air-flow meter. Accept no imitations."

courtesy of Apex'i USA.

I've put in bold the information that pertains to this particular topic. If you cant figure it out, then you are in dire need of serious common sense help.

Your answers are neither definitive or accurate.

You CANNOT use K&N's recharging kit!
The Apex'i filter is NOT the same as the AEM filter!

AEM used K&N as their filter supplier for a couple of years before they made their own filter element. Essentialy a K&N knockoff.

That's two strikes for you, care to go for a third?

As mario said, you do not need to clean it. Just knock out the dust and rocks.

I personally dont think any filter can last forever..new filter every year for me.
i just dusted out my old filter and blow it with a high pressure air hose.

then i got the 200 HKS foam filter, I wash those
the filter replacement is like 20 buck+tax

Just shake out the dust and dirt and you're good to go. It should last a very long time.
