What springs to use with KYB AGXs???
Whats up guys.
Anyone know of any springs that drop 2.0" or slightly lower that might be safe to use with my AGXs?
I was looking into coilovers, but I just got my AGXs in december so I'm thinking about getting my money's worth.
I wanted H&R race or Neuspeed Race springs but ppl say my struts will blow. I've heard the same about using skunk2 and GC sleeve coilovers.
Anyone got any helpful tips? I'm not diggin the 1.75 drop or soft feel that my sportlines give.

Well the H&R Race and Neuspeed Race offer very aggressive drops - and would not only void the warranty on the KYBs - but may blow them with their 2.5"+ settled drops. I personally would buy some GC's and set the height yourself @ 2" (which would still void the warranty, but would not blow the shocks)

Not if you set them to a height that isn't too low. GC's are adjustable to just about any range you would want. If you slam the car, it isn't our fault.

Of course, understood. I wouldn't come back and blame anyone for my sh*t breaking.
What I meant was, if I get the GCs and drop it 2.0" it should be ok?
New question, my sportlines are quite old. Is it possible that I've already got a 2" drop with the settling of my sportlines? or would they not settle that low?
I appreciate the help guys.

Definitely, but it will void the warranty, which if I remember right is 1.75". Yes, I am sure they can tell a difference. 1.75" drop is a good drop for enough suspension travel and lower center of gravity. I personally would run a 1.75" drop as I'd like to keep my warranty.

If I remember correctly, the warranty is up to 1.5" drop and I think it needs to be installed by a professional which it was not. So I think I've already screwed myself as far as the warranty goes.
Looks like it might just be smarter to invest in better shocks and GCs or full coilovers.

I've seen some guy with both in his sig. Don't know how long they lasted or if he ever encountered any problems.
Most ppl have told me the H&R race have too high of a spring rate to run with AGXs. One person (who claimed to be a seasoned auto x-er) said the AGXs prolly wouldnt last more than a couple of months with H&R race springs.
I'm hearing a lot of different stories.
I guess it might be wise to say that I do somewhat aggresive freeway/mountain driving, no auto x, not much drag racing but planning to start going more soon.

FYI I'm getting GC coilovers and Koni Yellows. I would recommend GC's for your situation, they are pretty heavy duty. Depends what you are doing with your car though. My set up will be for autocross and track racing. I agree with the adjustable thing but just be careful not to blow your struts.
I got Ground controls sitting in my room waiting to put them on. Right now I have Comptech springs with the AGX's. So I'll be putting the GC's on the AGX's soon I hope
i got a set of neuspeed race for 94+ teg inc. type r..50.20.44..for sale or trade...i went with type r springs on my gsr..
