Taking off tint??
you could take it off yourself, use something with ammonia in it (Windex) and get a razor blade. Spray that crap on, let it sit for about a minute or 2 then start scraping it off. Then afterwards there will be residue from the adhesive, just spray windex on that too and that should take it off. I did it on my car cuz the previous owner put the tint on themselves...looked like they had the tint on their back and backflipped onto the window
hahah well said man ...thanx for the tip
my tinit is on really well, thats why i am hesitant to attack it myself
anyone know what tinit shops charge to remove it? if its too much I'll leave it on....wish i had a pic....maybe soon

one my side windows i just peeled the peices off and used goof off to get the adheivsive off....i havent touched the rear cuz i dont wanna mess up the defrost system by makin a slit in one of the lil wires
I did mine. It was a messy pain in the *** but worth it. I used windex, water, a towel, a hair dryer and razorblades. Took me about 2 hours. Best to wait for a hot day.
if you just yank it off the adhesive is usually not that noticeable. it wasn't on my probe. than goo be gone, or goof off works really well you have to rub it in and take the blade to it, keep the adhesive wet and it comes right off. and my tint was professionally done too (or on really well w/e) and it was no problem gettin it off

this is how they do it at the tint shop,
get a garbage bag and cut it so you have two large flat pieces. now park the car in area where you will have sun on the window for a good part of the day. now get something like windex or i know walmart sells tint remover premixed ( i used this )
i think theres something more than just ammonia in the mix, anyway, spray this on the window and lay the garbage bag smoothed out on the window. let this sit for a few hours and the tint will come off the window and stick to the bag. when you go to check it peel a corner to see if it is working, if not respray, and wait alittle longer. the temp outside should be like 80 degrees or something. oh btw do not scrape a window with a defroster it will ruin it. hope this helped and let me know if i missed something

yup, but when i ripped mine off there was quite a bit of adhesive left but it was no big deal, only took me like 10 min. a window
