machine shop costs? b16a guys
how much should i expect to pay a machine shop to install my overbore pistons and new rods on my block?? or just to machine the block to accept the pistons and clean **** up?? anyone know any good shops in the ohio valley or pittsburgh pa area?? thanks
I know to have your block honed it usually runs 10-15 dollars per cylinder; to clean the block shouldnt cost more than 20-25 and to actually bore it out I would say 20-30 a cylinder.

Its goign to cost a bit more than $200 to get this all done. Machining itself will cost $300 or so, plus installation of the piston to the rods and then the assembly of the block. which will run from $200-600 depending where u go and how good they really are.
I would suggest getting new bearings at the same time. you are already there.. why not just redo it all during the assembly. OEM honda bearings up to $220 for complete bearing set.
