___________Do you need bumpstops?
Dammit i dont want to pay 16 dollars each at the dealer. I am gonna put on my new shocks but my old ones are dust (literaly). My struts didnt come with any.
Should i shell out 16 each for them or can i just get by without them? I guess i was gonna buy 2 and cut them in half, since im lowered.

I came to the same question for one of mine when I replaced my shocks...the solution...I took all of the pieces and taped them together around the shock! It's still good it's still good!

Either buy them now, or buy new shocks later. It's your choice.

i agree with the guy above that said buy 2 and cut them in half, you should cut them in half anyways when u lower your car to have a little more suspension travel...or, you can prolly go to a Pick-A-Part and find some
You need them. They are part of the suspension. If you bottom out the shocks without any bumpstops, you will possibly damage the shocks.
Buy 2, and cut them in half. You can spend 35 bucks now, or spend a few hundred dollars later.

my sportlines springs(91 hatch dx)say not to cut the bumpstops, so im assuming dont cut them right?...where as alot of people here say cut them so im confused on the topic.
theyre only 8 each at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
The reason you cut them is to increase the shock travel. Most aftermarket springs will instruct you to cut them in half. I always have and it's worked like a charm for me.
OK so i bought two from the dealer for 16 each. I would order them online but i dont want to wait to put them on because i am going to be installing them in my parents garage, and dont have anywhere to install them back at school. (going to summer school
