I just took my car in for a cracked exhaust manifold. The guy replaced it with used one off of a GSR. He said they were the same. Is there any difference? Thanks.

 

yeah, they're different, make him give you the right one.

The bottom part is different. Top is the same.

 

What are the differences? This guy has done a lot of work on my car. I really trust him. I don't want to go in there demanding my ITR header unless I can explain exactly why it is different

Two of the three A-Pipes (bottom of exhaust manifold) are the exact same price, different part numbers. The third is more expensive. Can't tell the difference from the pic, though.....

It looks according to Acura's pics there that the exhaust manifold is similar but, the A pipe is the difference as per my Pic and Zad5's pic as well.

That pic that I posted is actually the JDM header so that doesn't count and my appologies.

Zad5 shows the close up of the Gen 3 B pipes.

My Pics from Acura Carland show the 3 different A-pipes labeled as #7, #8 and #9.

Ask for the correct one.

Exhaust manifolds
GSR-18100-P30-000
Type-R-18100-P73-A00

 

7, 8 and 9 are A Pipes.

B pipe is the one after the cat.

Follow up. He only replaced the upper section. So no problem.
