Default :( 15.2@91.60 pictures

60' =2.403
330=6.487
1/8=9.860
mph=72.65
1000=12.768
1/4=15.222
mph= 91.60

my car sucks

mods
b16a
zdyne one wire
jdm 4-2-1 header with 2 1/2 inch collector
carsound cat (2 1/2)
2 1/2 inch catback piping
apexi universal n1
Itr cams
Aem cam gears stock settings
unorthodox pulley
azeni tires

my best 0-60 foot for the night was a 2.382 and that run i hit a 15.245

im not sure what else i want to do, i need a new axle, im going to put my stock pulley back on and sell the lightend pulley and put it on the dyno and try to figure out how much power i am or not making, im thinking maybe my motor is just worn out, because i ran a 15.2 last year with it in stock form, over the year its gotten slower and slower, last week i did a big overhaul on it, and did alot of maitnence to the car and im back to were i was a year ago

my only excuse is im pretty fat
and it was really really really humid that day

car weighs 2450 with me and the b16 in it the car, not stripped all stock interior in place including jack and spare.

i wish i knew how

i started off at 25 psi, and had 2.4's

then i lowered it to 18 psi and i got the 2.3s but lower ets

so then i disconnected the cat and started launching higher thats how i got the 15.2's

im launching at 5 it spins, then grabs, then bogs, my vtec kicks in at 5100 wich might be a little too high for this setup, i dunno im tired of dumping money into this car, id like to swap out my bad axle and borrow some slicks, and see what happens.

Why not tune your cams and pull some things out of your car before you go to the track. I think you could pull better times with the setup you have.

Being that you have a B16a, you most likely do not have A/C, why not pull all of the AC stuff out from under the dash and from the engine bay. that should cut a good 100 pounds off of your car.

That time's not actually that bad; the mph indicates potential for a high 14, which to me means that you're spending too much time spinning the tires at the start. I think you're launching far too high, though that might not be reflected by your 60' times. To me it sounds like you're getting a lot of wheelspin past the 60' mark and that's hurting your 1/8th mile time.

I personally have had only adverse effects from launching higher than 3500 rpm - just far too much wheelspin. While the 60' times didn't suffer, the overall ET did.

Plus 2450 lbs - that's very, very heavy for a 'Rex! Especially one powered by the torqueless wonder B16A!

Ah don't feel so bad... my best time was a 15.11@92 in my 88 hatch. It weighs only 2155 with me in it, though my only mods are gutted interior and intake (still running STD exhaust ). 2400 lbs is a LOT of weight.... try weight reduction. Lose some weight and you'll hit 14's. Have you done a compression test to the B16? try this, see if the motor's bad. As for the launch, my best times come from launching at 4000, while Raene likes to launch at 3000-3500, but figure out the best RPM for your car. Any lower than 4000 for me and it bogs like hell.

Drop that vtec switchover to around 4600-4700rpm.

You should see better times.

If you're on street tires don't lower the pressure on them. Doing so will cause the center of the tire to cup and you'll only have the tread near the sidewalls truly contacting the ground.

I agree with this totally. Your 1/4 mile is hurting from wheelspin or bogging caused by the spin that is going on past the 60ft. I'd try launching at a lower rpm... and splipping the clutch a little, not just dropping it.

what year and model is your crx? and is that 2440 with u in the car?

the 91 si weighs in at 2167 i think the b16a weighs about 50 more than stock
and then i wieght about 250-260 but im 6'2

instead of stripping my car im gonna go on a diet and save for a turbo kit so i think im done until next year.

Did you get those times at Enid on Friday night? I was down in TX.. *** yea it was humid.

That kinda sucks.. I weigh about the same as you and you've gotta be making atleast around 150 to the wheels.. Im making alot less than that so my I'll never break 14s n/a

Oh well, get the turbo kit and enjoy boost.

Try the slicks after you repair the axle, and get a vtec controller, set vtec at about 47-4800, and launch at about 43-4500, plus dude you have got alot of weight in that car....I am a chunky one too, but man, that is one heavy rex!

what's your tire pressure? i'd suggest lowering it especially when running at the track.

when you lower tire pressure. you can rev higher especially when the b16 peak torque # is at 7000 rpms

its little things like this that will help you get a great start and lower your 60ft time.

mine weighs 2167 stock

i think the b16a is like 50-70lbs heavier
