Default exhaust on a 01 4dr gsr??

i know they dont make alot of exhausts for an 01 4d4 gsr. i was wondering what kind they do make for a decent price and a decent sound.. i know i could get one for a 2dr and get it extended a few inches, which is what i'll prob. end up doing anyway, but i just wana see what ones i could get that bolt right up thanks

Well what do you want in an exhaust? Quiet, loud, big canister, small canister, sleeper, showy, straight-through, chambered? What are the plans for your car? Basic boltons, turbo or supercharger? These are all important considerations.

If you're interested in learning a lot or want to find another board, hop over to http://www.team-integra.net/ The real good thing about that site is their Articles, which are prewritten, very informative, and lots of technical info in there!

I have a Comptech exhaust on my 4dr and I recommend it. For someone planning basic boltons, its hard to beat. If you wanted to get some high quality, basic boltons I'd get a Comptech Icebox, OEM JDM 4-1 header (for best high-end gains - take advantage of GSR's high redline; otherwise get Comptech 4-2-1 for best mid-range gains), Carsound hi-flow cat, and Comptech Exhaust.

All that stuff about figuring out what you want to do really does determine what kind of exhuast you should get. I put a two door exhuast on my 4 door, and I don't think I even extended it. But I really like the way it looks now. It's a Tanabe Hyper Medallion.

You need to either buy a 4-door exhaust, or get a 2-door and extend it. While Kellindal may by lucky and not have this problem, if your exhaust dumps before your bumper you'll get a lot of extra reverberation (ie, in cabin rumbling and noise). , Kellindal, nice DB8. I want a rear bumper like that!

Getting a civic axle-back is a good idea. Same wheelbase.

Are 01 gsr different than 95 gsr? If not...I had a Apexi World Sport for my 95 4dr. If so...than disregard what I just wrote.

I've reworked my greddy sp (made for a dc2/coupe) 3 times already.

Trust me man, get an exhuast that fits the first time. Here are some I know of:

Greddy SP catback
Apex'i N1 catback
Apex'i WorldSport or WS
Skunk2/Invidia megapower or something like that
Comptech catback

I bought an APEXi N1 muffler and it sounds great. I like their products. However I did this when I wasn't knowledgable about mufflers and my mistake was not getting a catback system. Sounds good, just didn't realize how much the whole nine yards would have benefitted me. Whatever you decide get the catback system as well!

We can't give you a definitive answer. Call Comptech (www.comptechusa.com) and ask them over the phone. They're nice people, they'll tell you the truth, and then post it up!
