I think those wheels in 18s would look pimp as **** on a fifth gen. I want them also but will most likely go with 17s.
Not everyone with a Prelude is into turning their daily driver into an all out race car, some people just want a nice car.

Tell me why 17-18" wheels would turn a prelude into a "nice" car.. They are expensive, rough riding, hard to find, and offer NO performance advantage.. Sorry, but a prelude on 15" wheels IMO is nicer then bling, bling wheels..

That is your opinion, everyone has one. I used to be hardcore into autocrossing and turning my lude into a race car but realized that its unnessicary. It is much more practical and fun (in my opinion) to have a nice looking/riding car.
And to help answer the origional post, this web site will help you with tire aspect ratios. You will be able to find 18s that are about the same size as your stock wheels with tires.

If you're asking about the best size to fit on your car w/o it rubbing, then you'll want to look at the offset as well. The 3 biggest factors that determine if you'll rub or not is the offset of the rim, size of the tire, and how low you plan on dropping the car.
I have 225/35s on my car with a +42mm offset. I'm not "slammed" so I dont have to worry about rubbing. I have also taken this setup to the track at
Streets of Willow and experienced no rubbing.
I chose the 225/35 tire size because its the closest to stock diameter that you can get. I believe 215/40 is marginally larger. And I'm not convinced that the 215/40 gives you that much more tire to protect your rim. I've hit numerous bad potholes (I've cracked my old 17" rims on my old Civic) with no ill effects.
A good rule of thumb. The lower you want to drop your car, the higher you want your offset. Personally, I wouldn't go w/ anything lower than a +42mm offset.
Hope this helps...good luck.

i will be getting 18s soon, best idea is to go to http://www.tirerack.com and look up tire dimensions for certain sized tires, get the ones that the overall diameter is closest to stock, but i wouldn't suggest a sidewall under "40"
and someone just said bling, so.....
