Well I am ready to purchase my Auto Power race roll bar and was wondering if anyone has had problems with it because their seat sits too far back?
I was looking at Iggy's mounting points on the floor and it looks like the back of my seat might hit the bar. Has anyone experienced this problem or am I afraid of something that won't happen?
TIA

i am 6' 1" and have an autopower rollbar. you will be fine. but then again i never had the seat all the way back.
best integra mod for tall people = smaller diameter steering wheel and 2" spacer.

Absolutely Not. I am 5' 11" with shoes off and I have more than engough room. Remember that you should be driving with no recline anyway so even with the stock seats you will have loads of room. With a shell, you'll be fine. There are more than a bunch of us and quite a few taller than 5" 11" that fit just fine.

i'm 6'0" with no problems; i wouldn't consider myself tall though. i use a sparco bucket, but when i do use the stock seat i set it full vertical (1st click).

6'3 here....... plenty of room. Just sold my Recaro's b/c the top of the seat was to wide and would hit the bar near the driver door, but had like 5 inches more to recline the seat.
Need to get these Evo'2's in the car and I will let u know about clearance.
George is fine with the 4 pt and Evo2's!

Question: Does Installing a rollbar limits seat travel in the rearward direction? Or does it depend on brand/model/installation.

How did you decide to mount them?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well I am going to go sit in Donnie's R at OG Tuesday. But I think I will mount the same way you did George. Coming down to be the only option.
BTW........ I am going to talk to Bob@ King tomorrow I am hearing the Mugen rail/slider combo with a Sparco Bucket works well and keeps the seat low, like needed for us "bigger folks". Keeping my fingers crossed.

George, the entire rollbar is BEHIND you in the pics of Iggys. Where would padding help?
If you are hitting that bar... you got worse problems.
I am all into padding any parts forward of the front seats...

you can easily bend over w/ a 3 pt stock belts in hit the center bar on a rollbar.. if in a 5pt, and good seat, I wouldn't worry about it as much..

Thanks for all the replies. I think I should be fine. I set the SPG a little lower in the front so I have more clearance now. Hopefully I'll have pics of the bar installed within a couple of weeks.
Thanks Chris

Wherever did you get that useful info
I just wish I could remember what type of Sparco it was but a customer had once told me that is what he used to lower his Sparco seat a bit more. I'll try to give Bob or Scott a ring tommorow
