Default nitrous conflict with chipped ecu

i have a chipped sohc vtec on my 97 jdm gsr swap in my 94 delsol. i want to add a 55 shot to my setup. i was told that because of the chipped ecu that nitrous would blow up the motor. but then i talked to a differentf riend of mine and he said that theres no way the 55 shot will hurt anything. what do you guys think?

It depends on the chip, alot of chips advance ignition timing for all-motor power, NOT good for nitrous.
