hey ive got an 88 prelude S that ever time i put the clutch pedal all the way to the floor it makes a horrible screeching noise and the car shuts off. i can shift gears just fine when i get rolling, but when i put the clutch to the floor i get the noise and a horrible burning smell. please help me out with this problem. thanks.

i had that problem with my old crx. the starter never stopped spinning, so when you press the clutch pedal to engage the clutch, the start hits the fly wheel.
