Default ITR sway bar is definatly worth it

hey guys i just installed the 22mm itr rear sway bar w/ the BSQ kit last night on my '95 gsr and i could totally tell the difference today when i was driving. This has got to be one of the best mods that you can do for a about $100. I did have one problem though, i couldnt get the welded nut off of each side. I tryed a chisel but it was getting late and i didnt want to wake anyone up. So temporarilly i just drilled through the hole with the nut still intact and basically just asslembed the BSQ kit around the welded nuts. The screws are long enough to go through the nut and the washer so do you think that ill be alright for about a week or so? I should be installing some GC's w/ Koni yellows and a skunk2 camber kit next weekend so ill try to get to that welded nut while i have the car jacked up. Im hoping that i can get to that nut with a dremel. I cant wait to see how good my handling will get once im finnally lowered!

By drilling through the hole you already got most of the weld out.
The nut is barely on at this point.
What I did next was pull the rest of the nut out with a pair of pliers. Try that

pliers...why didnt i think of that when the car was on jackstands!
thanks for the advice, hopefully those nuts will be loose by the time i get the car jacked up again.

i totally agree with you about the itr rear bar... as many others have done in teh countless others posts of teh same topic... but i understand your enthusiasm. Oh and if you are gonna install ur skunk2 camber kit.. go to my website and you can check out the write up i did on it so perhaps it will be of some use to you.

My site, just go to the diy section.

i also have a write up on the itr rear bar.. but i don't think you'll be needing that anymore hahah

i agree!! the bar is well worth the $$$

and i found it easier removing the tack-welded nut with the bolt scewed in a bit, and beating the head of the bolt works great!!

hey pdcdragon, i saw your write up and it looks awesome. I have the bsq kit and the itr sway bar, but my question is about the bolt and flange.

-nutBolt (Honda/Acura Part#: 90175-ST7-Z00 ) 2 Needed
-Flange Nut (Honda/Acura Part#: 94050-08080 ) 2 Needed

When I purchased my sway bar, I had everthing included except those parts. Are these already on my gsr sway bar or do I need to go out and buy them.

Thanks

no those are not on ur old sway bar... the 2 bolts and 2 nuts are used for the lower bracket mounting hole. You kno that hole that you have the the **** out of to get the old nut off? and then you ahve to drill it to widen it? this is wat goes in there.

comptech sway bar combo is nice, but it cost like $380 doesn't it? Only advantage comptech has is the sway bar can be adjusted, and the blingness of the tie bar. It's also a direct bolt on compared to the 22mm having to drill out some ish..I think. Can't remember.
But OEM 22mm ITR one is more than enough IMO. Save your money.

Yep, the 4dr and 2dr share the same suspension. You can go to my website at http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html for complete step-by-step instructions (w/photos) for installing the Type-R rear swaybar.

talk about a gangsta....

everyone see the S430 in the corner....thats, ummm...60 grand? there about? - BLING BLING

I think the rear fog light is VERY useful if its mounted like that and is visible from far away but not from up close to blind you.
I hate driving up behind volvo's who have their fogs on....pain in the *** red light...!

I gatta do this mod.
