new personal best on street tires!
Made the trip to the track this past thursday for sport compact night. Met up with a few honda-tech members and had a blast on street tires! I am using the bfg drag radials 205/50/15. I forgot how hard it was to drag race on radials!
My low boost is set to 12 psi (spring in wg) and high boost is 20 psi. I started by just running a low boost the whole way. Netted me a 12.78 @ 123 w/ a 2.2 60'. Next run a missed shifted and aborted the run. 3rd run I heated the tires up and did a little better. 12. 48 @126 w/ a 2.1 60'. I did hit high boost in middle of 3rd. 4th run blew an intercooler pipe off run was aborted. 5th run I heated the tires up and concentrated really hard on the 1st 2 gears. I launched at 6000 trying to feather the clutch as much as possible (which is almost impossible w/ a twin disk) got out of the hole and feathered the gas as much trying to control the tire spin at low boost, shifted to 2nd gear still trying to controll tire spin hit the high boost botton as soon as tire spin was under control at the top of 2nd and again began to fight for control. Shifted into 3rd flawlessly and continued to feather the gas until the middle of the gear and then it was a go. Hung on tight and shifted into 4th w/o a hitch. Came around picked up my slip and got a new personal best:
12.06 @ 127 mph w/ 2.01 60'
I think TURBODANDEE has it on film if he cares to post it!
In case you are wondering we tried the slicks out and only got a 1 descent pass out of them. Blowing boost pipes plauged me the rest of the night. It has now been taken care of I hope (crossing fingers) the pipes now have a bead on! But unfortunetly I sold my slicks this morning so it will be about another month before I make it out to the track w/ 24.5" On the brighter side of things.. The one descent pass w/ the slicks was a 11.42 @ 132.5 mph @20 psi (shortshifted into 3rd and lost too much boost). I like to see progress and more so I like that mph

That was a bad *** night, lots of cars represented and met a few people. i finally saw alex's car up close and it is very clean and well put together and also his friend Mario, very cool group. Hope to come back again with stronger axles and a cage

my setup basically consist of the following:
big turbo
built gsr block
upgraded valve train
hybrid tranny
speedpro sequential
car weighs 2390 with driver. Used to be lighter but the cage added to it. For complete details of my car.. click on attitude racing on my sig. The car initially dyno'd at 438 hp @21psi, but I was having ignition problems. They have since gone away with the digital 6+. I should be back on the dyno before the end of the month 2 prepare for IMPORT FACE OFF 3

Great job, I love full interior street driven cars that run those kinds of times. I aspire to get into the 12's with my daily driven EK sedan. We're working on 13's at the moment. One step at a time.
