I heard that the Mothers california Gold has a 3 phase polish and wax, does this stuff really work, or can it be harmful. It says it gets out swirls in the paint and brings out better shine.

However, I am currently using Mother's 1-2-3 system on my car. Phase 1 is the Pre-wax cleaner, and this basically prepares your paint. Phase 2 is a Sealant glaze, which is a polymer. Phase 3 is carnuba, and this is the wax phase. I have been impressed with the shine of the mother's system. I also think it is relatively affordable and good for your average detailer.

With that said, I am shortly going to stop using mother 1-2-3 and try something new. I am going to start using the Klasse Twins and then top it off with s100 wax. These are more expensive products, but they yield better results.

 

Mother's works very well for the price. I have used it for 10 years. My first car was an old oxidized red mustang. It would shine after a mothers treatment. You can get even better results with a buffer.

 

It's very good for a very readily available product line. I used it when i first started detailing my car. The only thing i think it lacks is durability. If you want a better shine and longer lasting protection i would look into getting some Klasse AIO and SG or some Zaino. Personally i use Zaino Z2 topped with S100 wax.
