Weighed my car and dragged today also have some ??
Went to the dragway today and had some fun. My new best run is 14.665@96.35. Overall, I am happy, but I was hoping for better. I was literally the only other import racing. All of the heavy hitters were out. The place was packed with cars running between 7.00 (actually a few of them) and 12.XXX.
I was happy because the scales were open and I got to weigh my car with me in it. It weighed in at 2814. I am about 205 pounds so my car is 2609 lbs. Any recommendations or weight savings. And for the wiseguys out there, I am already planning on dropping some pounds myself.
Now for the question:
My 60' time on my best run was 2.308. According to everyone else that is pretty bad. Finally when I got a 60' of 2.205 I ran a 14.786@95.42. I noticed that the two times I pulled of 2.2XX 60' times after the tires stopped spinning I had a good climb to make it to VTEC. Is this to be expected or are others pulling it off closer to the X-over. I would guess, that the engine would bog on me as I connected and leave me to make the climb from 4K or less all the way to the X-over.
Any comments or help are greatly appreciated.

As for the weight saving... there was a good post a few weeks ago. (The guy dropped ~600 lbs! .
) Run a search w/ "weight" as the keyword. The most obvious thing that I've done is to take out the spare tire, jack/tool, passenger seat. Should be good for at least 45-50lbs.

ITRs are much lighter than GS-Rs due to the removal of the insulation. Maybe the scale was off or Hyper165 weighs more than 205??
Actually, according to the brochure in front of me the Type-R has a "reduced vehicle weight thats 35 pounds lighter than the Integra GS-R"
The extra weight is the result of the amps and the bolted in amp rack that is located where my spare tire used to be. I am planning on removing the whole setup this week. I no longer use the box since it is always out for racing. I figure I can mount the other amp somehwere else and get rid of the rack they are on that has some decent weight to it (20lbs).
i dropped my a/c system..that made the biggest difference..especially because its up front and on the drivers side ..i wiegh 160lbs..car wieghed 2602lbs with me in it..i had it corner balanced. lf844 rf797 lr503 rr458
