im planning on buying a junk yard rex out here, and i've been wanting a b16 for a long time. i found some cheap full swaps for as low as 1400 shipped. i was planning on getting a b18b block and having it machined with itr internals hoping to have about a 180hp.

now i dont know much about the sohc turbo set ups other than i hear there cheap and i saw a rex run low 12's with one.

so what motor is best for sohc turbo?
non vtec better also?
how much would a used kit range?
how much hp should i expect on a non built motor?

or should i just get the b16 and build it like i said having abuot 180 the way i depicted. that is relatively cheap.

I'd go with the LS/VTEC setup.
