Default McGaurd Wheel Locks

Anyone heard of these? Are they any good?
What are the best wheel locks available, or are they all relatively the same?
Thanks...

Indy

PS- I have Acura wheel locks...who actually makes those??

mcguard makes acura wheel locks... at least those that i used to have on my old ls.

mcguard is fairly common and is easily found at most car places... which could also mean keysets are common too

i remember when i forgot to bring my lock key when i went to the dealer for service, the mechanic had a complete set of keys for all mcguard factory locks. he mentioned there were not that many patterns and it wasn't hard to match. spooky huh?

gorilla is another wheel lock manufacturer to consider.

I like the McGard wheel lugs and are considering investing in them. Don't know about the locks and paltry pattern selection.... but I have experience with Gorilla... they tend to ring out if tightened too much... That's why I am considering going with Mcgard...

No Acura or Honda dealer in the area has keys to my McGard locks. I had lost a key and needed a wheel removed, but none of the dealers' keys worked. The dealers have lots of keys, but by no means do they have all of McGard's patterns.

I think they are McGard with an "a" only. They do make very good wheel locks. All the patterns are different. You can order them from summit racing and make sure you get the right ones.

About the mechanic having a whole set of McGaurd keys...that's for McGaurds not McGard. McGard is a german company and makes all kinds of wheel locks.

Check out their website. http://www.mcgard.com
