Default 4g-5g --> all motor or turbo

Hey wassup everybody,
With 4-5g's, what kind of all motor monster am I looking at? I know all motor won't be able to achieve the power of a turbo, but would I be able to hit 12's on street tires? drag radials? What can I get with 5g's that can help me towards this goal? Or would it be more practical to just slap on a Drag III or Revhard kit?

$5000 won't get you into the 12's all motor, it'll cost you a lot more than that

It depends..it could.

Im assuming the motor will be in an ITR? What is the weight of the car?

this is for a 2000 Integra Type R; completely stock; so would I be looking at low 13's?

that really can't buy you too much nowadays. I would say pistions will cost you around 2 grand installed with rods and machining. Cams+ valve terrain + gears will cost around 1500. A good header 1000. Exhaust 500. And an intake 200. This is already over 5000 and you still haven't dealt with fuel. This is an expensive hobby man. Have fun.

I dotn' know what that would get you in quarter mile though. Probably mid to low 13's. Definitely not 12's unless you are SGT

Depends, do you do your own wrenching? If so, that money will go about 2x as far as it would if you paid someone to install everything.

Pistons are around $500-600 for custom JE's. Probably closer to $1200-1400 installed by someone.

A head job cost around $50 MAX if you do it yourself. (well, you need to replace the headgasket and other stuff too, I didn't include that price) Lots more if you pay someone. (this might be a good idea if you have no clue what your doing though)

Exhuast can be custom made for $150 easily. Market ones cost alot more.

Intake can be as cheap as $40 ($100-200 market)

Lots of free mods are available. I don't know how well the ITR's intake/exhuast ports are matched (I would think very well considering the hand port polish) but that is a free mod.

IT can go pretty far if you do it all yourself, or it can get you very little if you buy really expensive stuff and have people install it for you.

If I were you though, I would decide what I wanted the car for before I decided turbo or N/A. If its a drag car, Turbo for sure. Would be counter productive not to. If its for anything else, I would go with all motor given the fact the ITR is so well setup already for it.
