Default C's short shifter installed

Picked up a 2nd hand C's short shifter for a good price and finally installed it on my G2. What a difference it made compared to stock! It's just an absolute joy punching it through the gears now! Installation was a pain as I couldn't get enough clearance between the shifter and exhaust. The extension at the bottom is very long. Had to make a few modifications to get the right amount of clearance.

More info and pics on my site.

Throws are a lot shorter than stock. You could very well shift with your wrist if it was on an arm rest. I drove a friend's G2 recently and just noticed how long the stock throw is.

Hey Rice,
If they are cheap hook me up to dude!! Anyways, I am kinda weary about SS's, everyone lately has been talking about the long term affects they have on the car....
I had a DC SS on my other Teg and it was cool....but I guess the jury is still out on long term affects....

eh, people talking about how the tranny or whatnot isnt built for the short throws. So long term use of short throws wear them out faster...
I dont think there is anyone on this board that has had a SS for years or with 100K miles worth on it to prove or disprove this theory....
But it does make me wonder cause I am expecting to keep this car until I drive it into the ground. And the day that happens I will be making it a project car....
