feeler guage questions
1. can you use 2 feelers at the same time? (a 5 and 4 thou if you need a 9 thou)
2. would an angled feeler be better for adjusting valve lash?
3. lets say spec is 9thou, a 10thou doesnt fit (or really hard to fit), and a 9 thou fits nicely but quite a bit of resistance, does that mean it at 9thou? i just a hard time understanding 'slight resistance' according to the FSM
thanks

1) No you gonna want to use the correct feeler guage, 2) yes an agled feeler guage makes things a lot easier to do, 3) if spec is a 9 and a 10 fits but really hard and the 9 was really loose then your going to want to tighten the valve a little so that the 9 isn't completely tight but not very loose, keep it to specs
Using 2 feeler gauges together isn't always OK because the film of oil adds some thickness. If you clean them off really good with solvent, then dry them, OK but that's a big PITA...
