Default Best sub 4 the money???

ok im lookin to set up a bad system in my 98 'Lude on a small budget...(more performance oriented...)
I want a single 12" sub... the box will make it plenty loud...
Ive got box makin' mastered and have a Rockford Fosgate power 1500dB amp from a friend... just need a reccomendation for a sub...
The sub has gotta handle a good amount of watts (1500 max...) and needs to be fairly inexpensive... give me a shout...

Inexpensive as in $200 or $1000? Does that Rockford amp make max power at 2 ohms or 4?

you're asking for too much for just $200. that amp is known to put out around 1700 watts at full tilt. good luck in finding one that handles a good amount of power.

No single 200 dollar sub can deal with 1500 watts rms. Sorry. The cheapest thing that will handle at least 1k watts in a 15L7. The E12A will handle around 1000 too.

If you are willing to move up to 400 then alot of possibilities open up.

BTW, why do you want to hook up a $200 sub to a $600 amp?

I'd think that it would be cheaper to find a sub that you could run around 4 ohms. What kind of power does the RF out at 4 ohms?

come to think of it, there is the RE HC, just right about 200 (for 2002). or if you want, spend about 280+shipping (about 300 total) and i can get you an IDMAX v3 with full warranty.

you want cheap, get an infinity referance, $60 at soundtrack, $30 on Ebay. Max watts is 1200. I have one and will take about 500 RMS. Tolerable sound but not the best. If you just want some bass go for that, maybe get two is you have a nice amp, That is major cheap though, if you want a wicked sub, Try the Eclipse titanium, truth be told handles about 1100 RMS, its a DVC and on Ebau usally around $250ish, the Eclipse aluminum has same power but not as good sound on Ebay $150ish. Tell me what you decide on and how it works out.

where can you find a W0 for $60? the lowest i've seen was $89 and that was for a 10W0.

best for the money would go to the elemental design k-series

lol, you can find them on the internet wholesale for 60 bucks, but i would never do that, w0's IMO are the best for the money, that's a lot of bump for single voice coil subs, clear, crisp, IMO better than any thing under 100 bucks

I have a 15" Earthquake magma for sale. Comes with a box its in perfect shape nice sub.
“ In sound quality and low frequency extension, the Earthquake MAGMAs excel leaving all other woofers behind” May 1999 CA&E. “With nearly 22mm of linear excursion (four times longer than other sub), and a hefty 3” 4-layer dual voice coil; the MAGMAs make sealed box bass an octave lower than any other woofer.”May 1999 CA&E. The 3” excursion along with the combination of unmatched stability and superior performance is only enhanced by using the patented Earthquake SLAPS - Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System. There is no question the MAGMAS put out a lot of bass, they are guaranteed to put you ahead of the competition and land you a first place trophy.

Some quotes on the suub itself just shoot me a PM if intersted.

a good sub would be the jlw7 12" but thats around 400-500 bucks. just go with a kicker L7 12" you should be able to get one around 200-225. that should do the job especially if you port it.
