Can my car be stolen easily?
I had a Viper 300ESP alarm installed on my 2000 Si and I also added the starter disabler. It says that if the alarm is set off the car will not start. Is there really a way to bypass this or get around it to steal it, and how long would it take. I was just wondering if it really worked. Any opinions or experiences?
Any security measure that you take can be defeated. I will not go into detail. Your best bet is to make the car as difficult to steal as possible (you'll need much more than just an alarm), but like they always say, if they want it bad enough they will get it.

Ok im inside, pop the hood, rip off the shirn, you didn't hide it did you(thanks makes it my life easyer) open the under dash, pull the kill switch, rewire the kill switch, hotwire the car.
Total Time 2 Mins or Less.

Clifford Avantguard 4 is an excellent alarm.
Think of your key as turning a switch. A switch will connect two or more wires and allow current to flow. An alarm will basically be a remote activated switch that stays open when armed, and closed when disarmed. As long as a thief finds a way to bypass the switch and get current flowing to needed wires, the car will operate.
What the Clifford Avantgaurd 4 has is a wireless immobilizer (I think that's what they call it, not 100% sure). It's a box with 3 wires, one to ground and +12V input and +12V output. What it allows you to do is keep a circuit open until the alarm is disarmed. It's not wired to the alarm so if the alarm is disconnected and rewired you will still have to find the immobilizer box which can be installed onto any +12V wire needed to keep the car running (as long as it delivers a good amount of current, Clifford dealers will have a tester to find which wire is suitable for this device). Get your installer to be creative with the install, ignition and fuel pump wires are common - but think outside the box such as the neutral safety switch (prevents your car from starting when in gear).
You can be even a little more creative, my boy has two screws in his car that you have to put a quarter in to complete the circuit and start the car. Something like :
.o.
screws = .
quarter = o
Just make it a pain in the *** to get your car started and even if they trash it, you'll still have it at the end of the day.

is your car a manual or automatic?
If its a manual, you may want some other kind of kill other than the starter kill....
ever push start a car before ?
