Default Is it totalled?

Basically I got into a fedner bender and nothing lines up in the rear now, that is the majority of the wreck but the other side is all crooked and nothing lines up. The hatch barely shuts and the windows are all out of whack

its alot worse in person I think the frame is somewhat twisted cause nothing lines up anymore. All the break welds on the rear part of the car broke and a buddy was telling me that it is expensive as hell to fix. Im kinda hoping its totalled I dont want to drive a car that I know was wrecked

Yeah the car is pretty jacked. If the frame is bent you can pretty much say goodbye to it.

pull out all the rear interior pannels to get a better idea. and start beating it out with a big hammer.

ouch, good thing you are OK.
anyways. to insurance, yes they will probably total it if any of the frame is bad, which it looks by the pics. but to me, i dont think its totalled. if you wanna see total, i should take some pics of the cars at work that we have fixed up (i work at a body shop). but IMO i think that getting insurance $$ would be the best idea if you do not have time to mess with body shops and such.

edit: if insurance will sell to you for cheap, take that route and sell the car like it is to someone who wants to fix her up. if not it will just get auctioned, or stolen.

but its all a money issue, would you rather get close to what you paid for it, or buy it back for cheap and part it/sell the car and make probably not as much as insurance would have paid. just my $0.07

hello there....

Firstly sorry to dissapoiunt u ... but u r pretty stupid for calling that a FENDER BENDER CRASH.. ur car is totalled as for a simple reason that IF the roof, the rear fender, and any part of the frame is messed with.. its very hard to fix and bring it back to its ORIGINAL specs... so YES ur car is totalled.. and that is NOT a fender bender crash..

Secondly.. was it ur fault ? well looking at the side u got hit from .. it seems like some one rear ended u ....

if its the other parties fault... get money for ur car.. parting it out take too much time and effort...

Thirdly .. i think u said that u DONT wanna drive a car that was into a wreck ??? honeslty if u have done something major to the car like some engine mods.. i would think twice b4 i sell my car or even try to get money of the insurance companies.. as u might have to start all over again...

and lastly sorry to see such a sweet ride getting screwed up... i am sorry for u as i simply love a type r.. but yeah try to get the moeny if u dont plan to keep the car and also remeber.. u gotta fight for ur rights.. as the insurnace companies always try to give some weak $$$$ for people cars.. just fight man and u will see .. u get enoguh money to buy a dam used 01 type R .. keep us informed.. and take care and dam my eyes hurt coz a sweet ride is messed up coz of stupid drivers who dont see and crazh dam whoever crahed u man take care

Buy it back for the guts and put it into another shell of your choice.

Sorry to see that happen. Hopefully it works out for the best, whatever that may be.

If you need any help working on it, give me a shout.
