I love these two vids. those cars are so close performance-wise, but the DC2 prevails of course

 

why would honda create a new type-r that is not capable of outperforming the older model?

isnt that the point of producing bigger and better cars? to stay competitive you have to progress. if they continue to produce Rs in the future you can expect our generation to be the best forever. Also the DC5 is rated at more HP than the DC2 so its already slower. We(DC2) have a hell of an aftermarket though to help close the gap.

 

in the best motoring video I have the DC5R anhilates the DC2R

Edit: in the video I have both the DC2R and DC5R are stock.

 

does anyone have the one where you have like 7 modded dc2r's that goes up against each other and also against a skyline and nsx?

 

i would like to see a stock jdm dc2R go against a stock jdm dc5r....anyone else?

Not the case by a long shot in the video posted above.

DC2 is still and forever

I still think that the DC2 owns DC5, but I don't think that is going to be the case forever. The head design of the K20 is capable of flowing so much more air, as soon as the aftermarket development of the B-series engine is equaled in the K-series, I think that the DC5R will show its true colors. Of course I wouldn't trade my DC2R for anything, but I think that is just how things are going to end up.

I don't understand why you guys all bash on the DC5. Afterall the Realtime RSX-S is 2 seconds faster (forgot which track) than the old DC2R. Therefore DC5R=even faster

agree with that. DC5R is faster, i have this BM video to prove it ! stock DC2R VS DC5R. DC2R got killed bad....
