Manual Tensioner
I'm doing the auto to manual conversion I did a search, but nobody really talks about how the manual tensioner works. How do you adjust the tension of the belt? I don't understand how you tighten the belt or loosen it. It looks as though it would just slide on the long hole which connects to the L bracket. Which side doest the bronze looking bolt go on for the adjuster?
After all the marks are lined up and verified, start a TDC. With the tensioner slightly loosened (14mm bolt head and lock 10mm bolt head), rotate the crank pulley so that the cam pulleys move 3 teeth conter clock wise. Then tighten the tensioner. Rotate back to TDC and check tension.
2point6, do you have any pics of what it's supposed to look like after everything is installed. I am trying to piece mine on the block and i'm a little confused. http://www.hondaautomotivepart...82%29 on that page is part# 10 and 13 the same for h22 and h23? That's the main part i'm having a problem with. I cant get #10 to line up with #18. Thanks for any help
