Default What to get from Japan??

My colleague is going for a weeks Business trip to Tokyo...
What can I ask him to get for my 99 4-Door GSR?
Obviously it should be very small in size and weight. Any suggestions?

have him ship mugen wheels. All he needs to carry is the shipping slip to you

Steering wheel. I would get an OEM R LSD...I bet you can pick them up for like $50 at salvage yards out there.

CTR Cams, pistons, and valve train. Easily fit in one bag.

I love thread like this.

Me and my buddys sat down for about a good 3-4 hours and planned out how we would rape Japan of all their junk that we worship. LOL

We know a guy inside FedEX that can hook us up on a returning Air Cargo contianer for free, so that basically covered the idea on how to get the large items back to the US.

We also planned out the way to get the **** back to the US by yourself. LIke I myself were going to bring back 1 set of Recaro Seats, Camshafts galore, LSDs, and gauge clusters.

What you do is tape the Seats together and check them as a bagage. Most airports have a shrink wrapping service and you can get the seats wrapped for about 20bux.

Bring a nicely sized duffle bag to cary the other parts. Most likely you'll have to check them in. If you can box them. It's even better. Automotive **** goes through customs at the airport hella fast. They really dont care. As long as you dont bring it on with you as a carryon.

We thought about trying to take back a CTR head or something. Head weighs about 60lbs. Give or take a few. The idea was to cut the timing belt. Unbolt the harness and use a vice grip to take off all the intake/exhaust manifold bolts. Toss that thing in a backpack and tote it off.

Thing with customs. We asked and interviewd lots of people that work at the airport about this kind of stuff. Most likely you'll be able to get out of Japan with it. He'll that's less **** they have to worry about in their country. As far as they know, it's Junk.

The problem lies, in bringing it back in. You WILL be stopped coming into the United States. NO DOUBT. Be prepared to be searched and have all your documents ready. Once they are satisfied that these automotive parts are nothing harmfull, they most likely will let you go.

Worst case secenario is that you must come up with an ESTIMATED VALUE of your goods, and pay import fee on that ****.

People box up and ship computers and all that **** ALL the time on airplanes everyday. I doubt some automotive parts will cause any concern at security checkpoints throughout the airport.

But, like in our case, if you know someone that works for a shipping company that ships internationaly, go through them. Makes it 100 X easier!
